We did all eat together, but this was mid-40s and early 50's. My favorite was my grandmother's yeast rolls and fresh churned butter and honey. I have her recipe and occasionally make them. Now, tho, our children are far away and busy with their own lives and Thanksgiving is usually spent with a few friends and the small family we have nearby. Those memories are dear to me. I also remember Thanksgiving in Vietnam, as well as Christmas...as I'm sure you do. Also unforgettable but for different reasons..
